Ledgent is partnering with a growing organization in the west metro adding a Corporate Staff (or Senior) Accountant to their team. This role offers upward mobility, hands on training, remote flexibility 1x/week, and a great culture.
Direct Hire. $75,000-$95,000 + BONUS. West Metro (1x/week remote after training)
Job Duties:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in alignment with relevant accounting standards and internal controls.
- Contribute to the preparation of periodic financial statements, ensuring adherence to applicable accounting principles.
- Conduct account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support financial close activities by preparing documentation and schedules for month-end and year-end processes.
- Analyze financial data to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for operational or financial improvement.
- Provide audit support by compiling required documentation and responding to inquiries from internal and external auditors.
- Ensure adherence to applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all financial operations.
- Assist with tax-related activities, including the collection of supporting materials and coordination with third-party tax professionals.
- Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of accounting systems and workflows to promote accuracy and efficiency.
- Engage in continuous process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting operations.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- CPA - preferred
- 2-3+ years of experience (public or private or both)
- Strong Excel skills and ERP knowledge
- Strong written and verbal communication
